We’ve spent the last few weeks exploring how essential your liver is for detoxification, digestion, hormone regulation, and overall vitality. Now, let’s talk about why spring is the perfect time to hit reset and give your liver the love and support it needs to keep doing its job—because let’s face it, your liver works HARD.
Every single day, your liver filters everything that enters your bloodstream—food, beverages, medications, and even the air you breathe. It processes:
Toxins from plastics, pesticides, household cleaners, and personal care products
Hormones your body no longer needs
Additives and preservatives in processed foods
Chemicals from unfiltered water and environmental pollutants
Fats and proteins—especially burdensome if they’re not high-quality or sustainably sourced
Add to that the burden of eating all day from morning to night, and your liver rarely gets a break. It’s a bit like running your dishwasher non-stop without ever cleaning the filter—eventually things slow down, gum up, and stop working efficiently.
That’s why a seasonal liver reset is so powerful. You can think of it as changing the oil in your car: If you don’t do it regularly, the engine gets sluggish and eventually breaks down. The same goes for your liver. Giving it a break from the constant processing and overload can help restore function, boost energy, and clear up symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, and inflammation.
Spring is the perfect season for renewal and restoration, and supporting your liver is the ideal way to honor your body’s natural rhythms. Think of it as your body’s version of spring cleaning—clearing out what’s no longer serving you and making space for more energy, clarity, and vitality.
In next week’s blog post, I’ll walk you through how to prepare for a gentle but powerful liver reset—what to eat, what to avoid, and how to tune in to your body’s natural detox wisdom. We’ll also be sharing details about an upcoming collaborative spring liver cleanse experience -- Liverpalooza -- stay tuned!
Your liver does so much for you—let’s return the favor. 🌿
